Day 2 RTE 66, IL to MO
So the first night we made it to Springfield, IL at about 1 am, even with an extra hour. The next morning, Day 2, we got up, took a swim and then headed out. We drove into town to see the Lincoln tomb and war memorial. We walked through town, then got back on the road to St Louis. We saw the gateway arch, and kept going to Springfield, MO. We stopped for some Chic-fil-a for dinner and took the very curvy Route 66 to KOA. We saw the wagon wheel motel, and the worlds largest rocking chair-which I was extremely excited about for some reason.
